Surely there are many mobile devices that you have at home and you no longer use but you do not sell or directly take to recycle. If among these you are lucky enough to have a tablet like the Nexus 7 You are in luck because by following this simple tutorial you will be able to turn it into a small laptop equipped with Ubuntu. Undoubtedly a very interesting way to give a second chance to a team destined to collect dust for years or go through a recycling center.
Before continuing, tell you that this solution is far from too powerful or complete, personally one of the biggest limitations that I see is in the dimensions of the screen. The first and perhaps most important step of the entire process is to install Ubuntu 13.04 on the Nexus 7 tablet. If you are a Linux user, and especially Ubuntu, you will surely know that it is a somewhat old version of the distribution. Even so, the truth is that this works perfectly when installed on this specific tablet and its installation is relatively simple thanks to the existence of reinstall images prepared for the Nexus 7 hardware.
Once the operating system is installed, we can use our Nexus 7 by connecting it to the case in which we have a keyboard.
