3D printing and IoT conquer CES 2017

POlaroid at CES 2017

In recent days, CES 2017 has taken place, a fair that is held in Las Vegas, in the United States. This fair is dedicated to showing the main technological innovations that will appear on the market in the coming months and even next year.

A few years ago, see a 3D printer was something unusual at this tech fair, But today we can say that 3D Printing as well as IoT have conquered this Fair and are already as common as mobile phones or latest generation computers.

In this CES 2017 we have seen the new IoT devices from Samsung that not only have Windows IoT but also other free systems that will communicate our appliances with our electronic devices. Although we have to say that this time it will not be with Hardware Libre.

Polaroid devices have been the most striking at CES 2017

The world of 3D Printing has also shone on this occasion. During CES 2017 we got to know the new Polaroid 3D printers, Fusión3, ALGIX3D and other devices such as the Sprout Pro by HP. At this CES has called much attention Polaroid devices, two desktop printers and a pen-printer. But the most striking thing has been for the name and the history that the Polaroid company brings with it and that it seems that in the not too distant future it will be successful again.

These developments not only include new 3D printers on the market, but also includes novelties such as new filaments (see example of Fusion3) or some other 3D object scanner. New utilities are also incorporated, such as the textile market, which seems to be a market filled with clothing and printed garments.

Personally I think that 3D printers are having an increasing presence and CES 2017 is proof of this, but it is also true that have not yet successfully reached the desktop like 2D printers did. In any case, we will have to see how the year passes, but something tells me that the 3D printer on our desktop will be something that will take less time to happen than we expect?Do not you think?
