Amazon is already thinking about how to spy on its customers through its delivery drones

Amazon

By now we all know that Amazon is one of those companies that is betting the most on the development of a project to deliver all kinds of packages to its customers using autonomous drones, something that is being worked on while, incidentally, leaders are being pressured to launch a legislation that allows them to use this program.

Thanks to this, we already know how the company is running, in very specific areas of the world, a kind of pilot project through which they are testing this type of technology and developing both new solutions and repairing possible malfunctions. What we did not know is that it also works in the form of spy on customers using these drones.

Amazon applies for a patent for its data extraction system using images taken by drones

This is precisely what I want to talk to you about today since the company led by Jeff Bezos has just presented a patent where a system is explained by which your drones would be able to collect information from the property where a particular delivery has been made, information that would be used for advertising purposes. As reported from Amazon, the idea is to improve the suggestions for the user.

In the patent requested by Amazon, you can see how a drone, when flying towards a house, specifically during the moment of its landing, collects a large amount of data about the house in particular, data such as the dimensions of the garden, the plants that there are in it, the type of trees, if a car is parked and even, apparently, if there is a dog and its breed.

With this information, once the customer has received their package, they will begin to receive certain suggestions from Amazon such as if the trees or plants in the garden are not well cared for, it will show its fertilizer catalog, if it is detected that the roof may have any damage, it will propose to the client certain professionals in the area who can repair it ...
