Ricoh and Solvay join forces to boost sales of PA6 powder material


We have known for a long time that both Ricoh as Solvay They are working together to develop new technologies related to 3D printing. Due to this it is not surprising that they are trying to boost sales of PA6 material, polygamy 6 powder, which has been developed by Solvay and which is compatible with the manufacture of additives to make use of Sinterline Technyl PA6.

Thanks precisely to the joint work of both companies, it has been possible to develop what today is the only proposal on the market capable of working with this material. We are talking specifically about the new Ricoh AM S5500P, a high-performance, high-capacity 3D printer capable of printing Sinterline Technyl PA6GB, a material of great strategic importance in industries such as aerospace or those related to the automotive world.

Ricoh and Solvay want to take PA6 powder to a new level.

Specifically, the Ricoh AM S5500P is a machine, of these characteristics in the world there are only a couple or three of models, capable of printing high temperature polyamides. The combination of these innovative solutions allows, among other things, to create functional and small volume prototypes with performance comparable to PA6 injection molded parts.

PA6 is a technical plastic widely used in the automotive industry for its heat resistance and rigidity properties. Our customers will be able to manufacture, with our AMS3P 5500D printing technology, engine parts such as intake manifolds or radiator nozzles. Ricoh Spain will continue to support the digital transformation process of our clients in the manufacturing industries.
