This is how SEAT believes the drones of the future will be

SEAT

Taking advantage of the celebration of Logistics Innovation Conference that a few days ago were held at the SEAT factory located in Martorell, the Spanish car manufacturer showed different bets where they could show those present how they believe the future will be in the field of logistics and distribution.

In this way, it was possible to contemplate the plans they have at SEAT and understand how they expect in a company of this size that the robots, which should be in charge of autonomously supplying all kinds of material and that they would move thanks to the use of the LED light, about 1.400 times faster than using a WiFi connection or how the drones they would be in charge of carrying out, for example, inventory tasks.

SEAT already plans what the arrival of drones in its factories would be like and the work they should do.

For Eric Marti, current Director of Logistics at SEAT:

Logistics has to be from the entrance doors to digitization in the entire production area.

One detail that is particularly striking is that, far from wanting to get people out of their factories betting on automating all work, at SEAT they are committed to integrating both the workforce of their workers and the robotized in the same place, making both technology and the human component can work in the same space.

As a detail, tell you that this is not just a demonstration without more than what the technology can offer since, at least but that SEAT already has 130 robots working for which some 3.000 millones de euros in the last five years in projects related to research and development and focused on improving facilities, equipment and production processes.
