Many of you will remember the old Polaroids, cameras that took the picture you took after a minute or two of waiting. But with the latest technology these cameras have become obsolete and can no longer be purchased in much of the world.
A Swedish student, Arvid larsson, has managed to reproduce a similar camera with Libre hardware. This is an instant thermal camera whose heart is a Raspberry Pi A +, a PiCam, a thermal printer, a 3D printed case, and a 12.000 mAh battery.
This instant thermal camera has had a cost of 170 dollars, a very reasonable price for the use it gives. Once we make the image with the instant thermal camera, the Raspberry Pi A + sends the image to the thermal printer and it prints the image in a matter of seconds, now this does not do it in color so unless we change the printer, we will only create black and white photos.

The Raspberry Pi A + of this instant thermal camera has a Linux-based operating system that simplifies things and makes the board work like a traditional camera thanks to some buttons. That is, with the instant thermal camera, the button is pressed once and it is photographed, the image will be printed, if it is pressed for a while, several copies of the same image are made and also the instant thermal camera has a second button to record video that will not be able to be printed (of course).
Unfortunately we cannot obtain the software and the plans to create our own instant thermal camera, however the operation is simple and I think that anyone can easily create their own camera, but not with this aspect since the print files are not public. Does anyone dare to leave their mobile phone to take pictures with this instant thermal camera?
