If you are a robotics lover and have 8 and 14 years between or a child of that age you may be interested in knowing that BQ has just announced that, for the second time, the company will organize its Summer Camps, a sensational event for all kinds of young makers where they can put all their ingenuity and creativity to the test.
Among the tasks that will be carried out in this field, in a very general way, it should be noted that everyone present will learn new notions of programming, robotics and even 3D printing where children will reinforce their physical knowledge, mathematical and technological reasoning while, in addition, they will be able to enhance their skills in problem solving, creativity, leadership and, something very important, teamwork.
BQ launches the second edition of its interesting summer camps for children.
As a detail, tell you that the BQ Campus will be held in Madrid from June 26 to July 14. These are organized in weeks and it is not necessary to participate in all of them, although, the truth is that the agenda in each week is different since, in each one of them, different possible uses for the different technologies to be treated are addressed.
Based on the statements made by Alberto Valero, Director of Education at BQ:
When building and programming a robot, the child develops their creativity through skills related to problem solving: how to analyze an incident, break it down into subtasks or sequentialize the solution. These skills are essential in the adult world and will be a competitive advantage when you enter the job market.
We have to redefine what is digital native. Children and adolescents were born surrounded by technology, but ... do they really know how it works or how to create with it? Children use technology, but they are missing its true potential: its ability to make them creators.
