Amazon shows more details about its mobile platforms for drones

Amazon

It's been a long time since Amazon revealed their first idea by which they intended to deliver packages to their customers using their own drones. A very revealing fact about this program is that the first patent was published in 2013, at which time a first team of researchers and engineers had already been formed to work on this issue.

After all this time, we have had the opportunity to know many ideas about this project, one much more intelligent and others perhaps more 'crazy'to name them in any way. On this occasion, Amazon has just obtained another patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office where they talk about a mobile platform for drones.

Amazon believes in the possibility of a global mobile network of platforms for its drones

To start from a specific point, it should be noted that Amazon has the idea of launching a series of flying platforms that would be permanently flying within a mobile network that would travel the world. These platforms would be transported by different means such as a container ship, a freight train and even a trailer truck.

These platforms would be designed to contain inside a series of structures capable of carrying drones and the packages they have to send. As expected, so that the drones are always ready to go, these Amazon-designed platforms would be equipped with everything necessary, from batteries to a robotic arm, so that when the time comes when the drone is in perfect condition to take flight.

At the moment the truth is that Amazon has not wanted to launch any kind of statement, as on other occasions, where they talk openly about this patent and what they expect from it, that is, if they have some type of prototype that they are developing and testing or if it is just an idea of their engineers.
