Amazon patents a peculiar battery recharging system for its drones

Although the regulations that regulate the use of autonomous drones in our cities do not make it too easy for a company like Amazon you can use them to deliver your merchandise, the truth is that the company does not lose hope of being able to launch a program like this and, of course, in the case of being able to do, they don't want to be the last to arrive or having to make millionaire disbursements to get the services of a company, something that has already happened in the past.

Due to this it is not surprising that, while this whole issue is finally regulated and the moment comes when they can launch their program, Amazon engineers work tirelessly trying solve all kinds of problems and inconveniences they may have. On this occasion, the American multinational surprises us with a license where they clearly show if idea to install charging stations in street lamps, telephone towers and even in steeples.

Although it is still a patent, Amazon's ideas are quite inspiring

Based on what we can see in the patent, there is an image where it is very clear that these charging stations would be linked to the central drone control network so that it knows at all times where they are. Thanks to this location, in case a drone is running out of battery or adverse weather conditions and even mechanical problems are detected, the unit can go to the nearest loading platform.

Personally, it has caught my attention how the idea that these charging stations are also equipped with a package handling system so that, when a drone has delivered any merchandise, it can access this recharging station and, once its batteries are charged, it can offer a new shipment and all the necessary data for processing.
