Amazon is one of the large multinationals that has been thinking about and developing its own program for a long time by which they can begin to distribute all kinds of packages to their customers making use of drones and disregarding all kinds of companies specializing in the parcel delivery.
As you know, this program, at least in the case of Amazon, is already quite developed since they have even begun to carry out field tests in very limited locations. While it is time for the program to go into production, mainly blocked by legislative issues since there is still no regulation that regulates the use of this type of drones, the company's engineers are already working on developing a protection system for drones against any type of threat.
Amazon continues to work on its program to deliver merchandise with drones.
As they have told in their last press release regarding the development of this project, apparently they have detected that they should not only develop a robust system capable of detect and dodge certain elements such as trees, buildings and even other drones, but must also be able to work in an airspace dominated by birds, threats that, unlike the others, are elements that will not be fixed or have large dimensions such as poles, streetlights and even buildings.
As you can see, Amazon is already working on evolve as much as possible your parcel delivery system with drones although, unfortunately, and due to the delay in designing and finalizing legislation, we will still have to wait quite a few months, and even years, for this market to finally exist.
