Andaltec acquires a 3D scanner capable of working with objects of any size

Andaltec

The Technological Center of Plastic, Andaltec, located in the city of Martos, Jaén, has just announced the acquisition of one of the most powerful 3D scanner on the market. Thanks to this, the center will now be able to digitize pieces and objects of any size, shape and material in a matter of seconds. Just as the center is safe, this scanner can work both in the center's own facilities and in the place where the piece is located.

This is possible thanks to the fact that the scanner acquired by Andaltec works using the technology of fringe projection allowing this scanner to work both indoors and outdoors. As reported, this model has been chosen simply because it can be very useful for different sectors such as aeronautics, automotive, scale models, prototyping, works of art or modification of existing parts.

Andaltec acquires a new and interesting 3D scanner that will expand its operational possibilities

Based on the statements made by Maria del Carmen Garrido, specialist technician of the equipment that will work with this scanner:

This three-dimensional scanner works by means of a strip projection system, which has many advantages over other systems, since it can work reliably in any work area. Furthermore, three-dimensional data is available almost instantaneously and the surface of the object can be measured in a very short time, providing highly accurate and high-resolution measurement data.

Thanks to the acquisition of this new scanner, Andaltec can now perform inspection and quality control, reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, documentation and three-dimensional modeling or reproduction and recovery of incomplete parts. As a final detail, tell you that unlike the models that use laser technology, this device does not need prior treatment of parts which means that, in turn, the work carried out is much faster.
