AP&C announces the opening of a new metal powder factory for 3D printing

Advanced Powders & Coatings, better known as AP&C, one of the largest international producers of metal powders for 3D printing has just announced that they are in the middle of the construction phase of a new factory to increase their production due, as indicated, to the fact that Canada factory, with capacity for about 500 tons per year it is getting too small for them.

It is precisely because of this that the AP&C company has just released a press release announcing that today they are already working on the construction of a new factory in Montreal (Canada) with which they will try to supply the needs of the aeronautical and medical industry mainly. Both sectors of the market increasingly need larger stocks of metal powder for the manufacture of parts using 3D printing techniques, especially the most demanded powder is titanium.

AP&C will invest 31 million dollars in the creation of its new factory in Montreal

Thanks to the opening of this new factory, AP&C estimates that it will need to hire some 106 employees more besides investing in construction nothing less than 31 million. As expected, great personalities of the country have not hesitated to support this initiative, such as Dominique Anglade, Minister of Economy, Science and Innovation of the province of Quebec, who, during the celebration of the Farnborough Hall, did not hesitate to catalog it. as one of the main initiatives within the Quebec Aerospace 2016-2026 plan.
