Normally when we talk about Arduino we usually refer to the original project that began to be manufactured in Italy and that even today boards are manufactured in that country. However, a parallel project was created a long time ago with the same name but whose website ends in .org.
En the project website recently announced a new software to program and carry out projects with their Arduino boards, this software has been called Arduino Studio, a more complete tool than the Arduino IDE that brings together not only the best of the IDE but also new features such as the possibility of connecting to free editors like Adobe's Brackets editor or even embed the program itself on the Arduino board itself. Since Arduino is Open Hardware, the good thing about all this is that it does not matter which project you have on the board since Arduino Studio will be fully compatible with boards from both projects.
Arduino Studio will allow you to create projects and embed them on our boards
This new software will be an improvement for developers and large projects that will be able to create standard installations or simply develop projects through the web platform since Arduino Studio will allow you to upload and have files in the Cloud. Also, unlike the Arduino IDE, Arduino Studio has a new interface that will make the user experience better.
Unfortunately, Arduino Studio is still in alpha state so we won't be able to use it for stable programs and projects. However, it is a project in which the Community also participates, so we imagine that Arduino Studio will quickly come out of this state to become stable. Although in the meantime you can experiment and test a software that perhaps in the not too distant future will be one of the basic programs when programming with Arduino, don't you think?
