A few months ago, companies of great international significance such as Sony, 3D Robotics y Autodesk signed a very unique and beneficial collaboration agreement for all equally. Now we learn that, after months of working together, this agreement will be expanded in search of creating a new version of the 3D Robotics drone to industrial use, a model that will be launched on the market soon that will highlight, among many features, for being able to take aerial images of areas or structures and, from these, develop a map or 3D model that will be stored in the cloud.
As you will surely remember, this program was precisely the result of the collaboration of these companies and was already on the market. Little by little more work has been done on its development, reaching evolve remarkably. As a detail, tell you that in the first version a GoPro camera was used which, of course, in this new version will be relegated by a camera SonyUMC-R10C, an accessory that, unlike the previous version, will be fully integrated into this new professional version.
As you can see, on the one hand we have 3D Robotics that has finally managed to develop its drone model, secondly Sony will be in charge of offering the system a high-performance camera while, finally, Autodesk will be in charge of developing the software capable of digitally scanning and recreating the places where the work of this system is required, even achieving that, in flight, the results are sent to the cloud in a fully automated way. Just above these lines I leave you a video where you can check the operation of all this hardware and software system.
