This week a new 3D printer from the Leapfrog company has been officially presented. This company presented us a year ago a 3D printer called Bolt. Well, a year later, Leapfrog launches Bolt Pro, an improved model of this 3D printer.
Bolt Pro is a 3D printer that tries to offer professional results but for a desktop environment. Thus, this model is completely closed during printing, which means that when we print materials other than plastic, the room does not acquire the smell of burnt material.
In addition, Bolt Pro has a touch lcd screen and wifi connection that will allow us to send the models that we want to print and, unlike the rest, 3D printer connects to Dropbox and OneDrive to be able to select, upload or send model files that we want to print directly on the printer.
Bolt Pro weighs 64 kg, a considerable weight for a desktop 3D printer, but we can place it on the ground since the device closes when printing. Printed parts can be 33 cm high, something other printers cannot and the heated bed can reach 90º. Bolt Pro stands out for its double extruder. Two extruders working synchronously which makes parts more perfect and takes half the time to print a part.
BoltPro you can't buy it in stores like we buy a PrusaFor this we have to go to the Leapfrog website and contact them, but the printer is not cheap. Unlike other printers, the Bolt Pro has a cost over $ 9.000Quite a high price for a desktop model, but it may not be that high for an industrial model. In any case, as in other models, until it is tested we cannot say if it is really worth what it costs or it is not.
