Briton James Bruton has embarked on a construction project of a real R2D2 with a plastic frame printed on your 3D printer. As James Bruton shows, this project is having good results since apparently things are going very well so far.
James Bruton is passionate about robotics and hardware libre. He currently maintains the Xrobots website and a YouTube channel. It also has the support of the company Patreon, which maintains this robotic project.

Once the project is finished, James Bruton will upload the project to a repository on Github so anyone can build their own R2D2. It is not finished yet so in this repository we will not be able to find all the files necessary for our R2D2 but little by little they will upload.
