Can PcDuino exist without Arduino? Yes, it's called PcDuino 4

Pc Duino 4

A long time ago a company called LinkSprite He tried to create a device that had the same capabilities as the Raspberry Pi but was based on the Arduino Project. Anyway, it wanted create an Arduino compatible SBC board. And they succeeded, that board was called PcDuino. And although the truth is that its design was atypical, its followers trusted and supported it.

Currently the board has its fourth version, but a very atypical version, since it supports Raspberry Pi and not Arduino boards. Indeed, PcDuino 4 changes the connections to Arduino for a 40-pin GPIO that make PcDuino 4 a great friend of Raspberry Pi.
But perhaps for many users, the most important thing is that the size of the board has been reduced, being less elongated than before and more manageable by its users. PcDuino4 has similar to Arduino or Raspberry Pi, something that users will appreciate.

PcDuino 4 incorporates power and reset buttons for the most novice users

In terms of hardware, PcDuino 4 has an AllWinner h3 quadcore 1,2 Ghz processor, accompanied by 1 Gb of ram and a slot for microsd cards. In addition to the GPIO port, PcDuino 4 has an on-board microphone, audio output, a microusb otg port, three USB 2.0 ports, an hdmi port, a 10/100 ethernet port, and on, off and reset buttons.

The new PcDuino 4 will support Ubuntu MATE and Debian via U-Boot, operating systems that will make this SBC board more manageable, even when working with Arduino boards. But unfortunately PcDuino 4 is still in production and we can only reserve it, but will be reserved for $ 25, that is, it has a more affordable price than other alternatives to Raspberry Pi and maybe to Arduino What do you think? Does it make sense to have a PcDuino board without Arduino support?
