El Advanced Center for Aerospace Technologies, CATEC, managed by the Andalusian Foundation for Aerospace Development has just announced that they have reached a collaboration agreement with the also Andalusian company Alestis Aerospace to work together in the development of new 3D printing technologies and their possible implementation within the complex aerospace industry.

Apparently and as has been officially published by both companies, an agreement has just been signed by both parties in which it is ratified that both CATEC and Alestis Aerospace will work on an indeterminate number of research and development projects highly oriented to the search for new additive manufacturing technologies in non-metallic materials such as composite materials can be, a matter where precisely Alestis Aerospace is a world reference.

CATEC and Alestis Aerospacial will work together to develop new 3D printing techniques for composite materials.

For their part, CATEC undertakes to contribute their extensive experience in the development of applications and solutions related to 3D printing for use in the aerospace industry, where, in turn and thanks to their excellent proposals and work, they have become a European benchmark thanks, among other things, to becoming responsible for the development of components for space launchers for the European Space Agency, THAT.

Without a doubt one very interesting news especially for the 3D printing sector in Spain, since with this agreement it sees how two of its great exponents at the international level come together in order to become much more competitive within a very heterogeneous sector that requires this type of collaboration so that companies continue to be benchmarks at an international level.
