CDTea or how to make a tea the difficult way with Hardware Libre

CD Tea

Normally we usually talk about curious projects or projects of Hardware Libre that help us carry out tasks more easily or simply make us get solutions for a cheaper price than normal.

But in this case we are going to present you a project that will have little future and that is more useless than useful, although the British and those who love recycling will surely be struck by it.

CD Tea is the name of this project. The proyect consists in recycle an old cd or dvd drive and connect it to a Raspberry Pi. To the reader unit we hook a stick or a support on which we will hang the tea bag.

CDTea is an interesting project to teach a novice how a mechanism can work

Then, once the Raspberry Pi is turned on, the hardware will take care of raising and lowering the tea bag, introducing it into the hot water cup. Namely, make tea with an old reader unit.

The price of CDTea is not very high and we can create it ourselves if we follow the steps of your github repository, at least if we already have a Raspberry Pi, but it is certainly still considered a useless project. At least the way I see things. Yes, on the one hand we recycle an old reading unit and also use Hardware Libre, But also we are expending energy that can be omitted if we do it manually.

Also, I highly doubt that making it through this project improves the quality of the tea rather than making it ourselves. In any case, if we want something useless or rather, something to teach newbies how a motor or a Raspberry Pi can work, CDTea may be the project we are looking for Do not you think?
