China shows us its laser cannon capable of shooting down drones

Many are the companies, many of them subsidized with government money, that are working today in the development of a new type of weaponry that, being as economical as possible to use, not to manufacture, is really effective against this new threat that they suppose for the troops in combat field as are the drones.

As we have been able to see in recent months in the different zones in armed conflict, such as Syria, the military faces a terrible problem since for certain commands acquiring a drone, modifying it at home and using it to fight is something, at the same time. seem, tremendously simple. Unfortunately the Eliminating these armed drones is usually a huge expense and above all a pretty big problem.

This laser cannon is expected to start being used in airports in China

Focusing a bit on the topic that brings us together today, it seems that, as in almost all fields related to the world of technology, in China they already have a solution in the form of laser cannon, as you can see in the video that I have left you hanging just above these lines, quite lethal and with enough capacity to shoot down drones from quite a distance.

The video where the new laser cannon developed in China and all its capabilities is demonstrated has been posted on YouTube by none other than the Chinese Army. In its first seconds of duration you can see how the laser is able to pierce a screen and later, in a second test, end up shooting down the drone in mid-flight.

This peculiar system has been developed by the company GuoRong and in it, for its correct operation, a radar, a radio interference generation system, an electro-optical module and a laser emitter have been installed. All this has been mounted directly on two trucks, which should improve its transport to the different areas where it is required.
