Connect Robotics demonstrates the capabilities of its drones

Connect Robotics

Connect Robotics is a Portuguese company founded in 2015 by Eduardo Mendes and Raphael Stanzani that managed to enter an ESA incubator, something that has allowed them to work on software through which, according to those responsible, a controller can work with several devices at the same time completely remotely.

The main idea with which this company was created lies in the objective of being able to use drones to transport survival products, help people in an emergency situation and even reduce the isolation of all those who live in remote regions.

Connect Robotics demonstrates what its new drones equipped with specific software developed by the Portuguese company are capable of

Based on the statements made by Raphael stanzani:

Although the village is not far, it would take more than half an hour by car to bring the food to Joaquim Reis in Podentinhos and back, due to the poor and unpaved roads. Our drone arrived in just three minutes, without the need for a pilot.

One operator can operate six of our drones simultaneously. The drone takes off on its own and takes into account weather, elevation, and flight routines. And, once the package is delivered, it returns automatically.

We can reduce costs by 40–60% over conventional courier services, so our customers can offer faster deliveries at a much lower cost.

The last kilometer distribution can be done in less than 30 minutes from purchase, since our drones are not limited by traffic jams, construction sites or natural barriers in hard-to-reach areas.

Working with ESA seemed fundamental to us. We now use the Galileo system to improve location accuracy, as well as protocols and methodologies specific to space missions to analyze navigation, data collection and communication.

As part of an ESA incubator, clients and partners trust us, and we also receive technical and business support to develop our drone service.

Without a doubt, our service adds value to the distribution of small packages and sanitary products. A drone is faster and cheaper than a delivery van, and you don't need a driver.

We believe that, in the near future, it will be the most used method to distribute small products.
