Create your own tablet with a Raspberry Pi inside

tablets

Today I want to show you a new project created and developed by vorkoetter, one of the most prolific components of the Raspberry Pi community today thanks to its large number of contributions, which it has been capable of, as you can see in the image that is located right at the top of this same post, of make a tablet with a very professional quality.

It is precisely this quality that has led me to want to show you the project in HWLibre since, although its difficulty can be quite highThe truth is that the author of the project has created a kind of tutorial that is quite clear and easy to understand for everyone, so it should not be an impossible task to carry out if you have enough knowledge about components and connections.

Vorkoetter shows us how we can create our own homemade tablet using a Raspberry Pi 3B

Regarding the technical and material characteristics that you will need to carry out this project, it should be noted that this interesting tablet has a Raspberry Pi 3B, which means that we already have a 8 Ghz quad core ARMv1.2 processor. In other characteristics we find that, for storage, we bet on a card 32Gb Lexar microSD, while to give the project a certain autonomy, a commitment is made to a 6.200 mAh LiPoly battery, enough to get between 4 and 12 hours of autonomy.

Finally highlight certain components as a 7-inch 800 x 480 multi-touch screen, 25mm speaker connected to the Raspberry Pi via a USB with microphone and headphone port, connectivity through a USB port and a micro-USB for charging. Regarding the operating system, the author of the project has relied on the benefits of Raspbian Jessie.
