Surely on some occasion you have heard about the French company Dassault Systèmes, a giant specialized in the creation of 3D software that is back in the news thanks to its latest press release where its leaders report how the company is about to launch a new online platform in which they will offer all their software to all their customers completely unlimited and, in principle, as we will see later, totally free.
Thanks to this announcement, finally, all users will be able to test and have unlimited access to such important software, especially in industrial and professional environments, such as Catia, SolidWorks o simulated among others, all of them very interesting thanks to their incredible 3D modeling features. As a detail, tell you that the platform is available on your beta for several months, although access to it is private so only a few users with certain privileges can access it.
Dassault Systèmes sets up a platform to use all its software from any browser
With this new step, Dassault Systèmes seeks to position itself as an intermediary between an engineer or designer and the company that seeks specialists for the creation of different types of objects. As explained by the own Pascal Daloz, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, Dassault Systèmes:
You don't have Catia, you go to our market and work in Catia in your browser, and they don't charge you. What you are going to buy will be the result of this work under Catia and the connection with the manufacturers or others interested in your project.
What Amazon did by buying online is what we want to do with the design, manufacture and, in a way, the distribution of industrial goods. This is the concept of the market we want to enter. It is the digital transformation of digital products.
