Dentures can also be 3D printed

3D printing

3D printing is advancing at a simply incredible speed, managing to penetrate a large number of markets, some that can be absolutely incredible. An example of this is the last object that has been created thanks to a 3D printer and that is nothing more than a denture which many people have to turn to when they reach a certain age.

These dentures have been created by the company, Stratasys, one of the most influential in the 3D printing market and displayed at the International Dental Show that is taking place in Cologne, Germany.

The company of American origin has put 3D printers at the service of dentists and orthodontists, in a version specially created for them and that has been baptized with the name of Objet260 Dental Selection 3D Printer.

The precision of this printer is absolutely spectacular and is that is capable of achieving layers below 16 microns, with a triple injection system. This means that the dentures that we can acquire right now will have a lot to envy those that will soon be manufactured thanks to 3D printing, since the precision will be much higher than what can be achieved today.

3D Printer

At the moment, yes, these dentures that you can see in the images of the article, are not sold and is that at the moment this printer is in the testing phase creating dentures, as that is a test.

We can already create hundreds of objects thanks to a 3D printer, but in a few months, maybe we can even have a 3D printed denture in our mouth.
