A drone has been key to rescuing two people in serious danger

Many are the voices that cry out for something as simple as the fear that they feel that technology could take away their work. In this way and given the great promises that drone manufacturers make so that this technology can do the work of many people in a completely automated way, it is not surprising that this type of development has many detractors.

Today I want to show you news of how a drone can truly be something very good for humans. From Australia we get a news by which a lifeguard, from the mainland, has managed to rescue two teenagers who had been trapped by a strong gang on Lennox Head beach using their drone for this purpose.

A drone is the perfect weapon to rescue two young people trapped by the sea current

Truly rescuing two people with a drone has literally been the result of chance, that is, just when the first responders received the warning that there were two young people in danger they were testing this new technology on shore. Due to the great coincidence, before wasting time to return the drone to its take-off place and go in search of the swimmers, they decided to take advantage of the moment and use it.

As explained by the Deputy Prime Minister of New South Wales, John barilaro:

The entire process only took 70 seconds, compared to the six minutes it normally takes for a lifeguard to rescue swimmers. Never before has a drone equipped with a flotation device been used to rescue swimmers, it is the world's first rescue.

In reality, Barilaro was referring to the investment of the government of New South Wales, who spent $ 340 last year on a fleet of drones to patrol for sharks on the northern beaches of the state. Some of those drones are equipped with systems capable of detecting them.
