Once again we return with an example of an airport of the size of Dubai International Airport that had to close for more than an hour, specifically it has been specified 69 minutes, last weekend due to the presence of a drone within its airspace, an action that, while causing serious problems, considerably altered the activity of the place since several flights had to be delayed. As a detail, tell you that the delays exceeded four hours while the airport authorities were forced to divert no less than ten flights.
Due to precisely this type of situation, the authorities have been working for months in a regulations that delimit the areas in which it is prohibited to fly unmanned devices as the cause of this serious incident. Some of the current regulations came into force just a few months ago, just after another drone overvalued, as this time, Dubai International Airport again, an action that caused huge losses for the emirate's economy.
Among the announced measures that will be taken immediately, according to the Government of Dubai, is to implement total control over all commercial drones that circulate in the city's airspace and not only at the airport. This measure can be carried out thanks to the company Exponent-Portal that has been hired so that the authorities can know at all times the position, speed and height of the country's drones in real time.
Thanks to this measure, if necessary, the authorities could, among other things, also take control of the system to remove it or prohibit it from accessing according to which airspaces, override your camera in order to avoid that the drone, at any given moment, can make some kind of recording of restricted places.
