EHang shows us what its autonomous taxi-drone is capable of

EHang

At this point, you will surely have a good understanding of all the adventures that the company EHang has achieved in just over two years, a company that was founded with the firm intention of developing a Fully autonomous drone with the ability to carry passengers inside, a model that seeks to enter a completely new market and that has evolved a lot since then.

After all this time, where the company has shown us videos where you could see your drone flying solo and agreements have even been announced to launch a short-term autonomous drone service capable of functioning as taxis in cities as important as Dubai.

EHang shows for the first time in video real tests of its autonomous drone, which in the short term must start working as a taxi in different cities

So far the truth is that the test flights that EHang had published had in common that none of them had been carried out with humans, tests that had been carried out in both China and Nevada and where it was shown that the first prototypes were capable of flying. at an altitude of 500 meters reaching a speed of up to 100 km / h homologous about 16 kilometers of autonomy.

We have had to wait until this week to see the first flights with people inside, specifically they have been 40 people who have been able to get on a prototype like this for the first time and enjoy a short flight performed completely autonomously.

For now, and despite the success of this test, no information on when a vehicle like this will hit the market or the first project will be launched where a fleet of these drones can take care of the mobility needs of an entire city.
