Elyx and Aimplas join forces to develop their projects related to 3D printing

Elyx and Aimplas

elix polymers is one of the companies that is investing the most in intelligence and development in order to launch advanced versions of ABS filament for 3D printing of the FFF type or Cast Filament Manufacturing. The objective of the company, as they have communicated, is to create materials that allow produce parts with better mechanical properties such as low warping, high resolution, dimensional accuracy or high impact resistance.

In order to develop this new range of products, Elix Polymers has signed a collaboration agreement with aimplas, the Technological Institute of Plastic. Undoubtedly, an agreement that many will benefit from and not only at the business level, but also the end users will also benefit from better materials that will allow us to create much more complex structures, thus raising the level of 3D printing both in our country and on an international level.

Elix Polymers and Aimplas are already working on the development of new filaments for FFF printers

Today, technology FDM it is being used for both modeling and prototyping as well as for the small-scale production of fully functional components. Thanks to this, this type of technology is currently being used in market sectors as different from each other such as the automation sector, aerospace industry, architecture, biomedicine, jewelry, electricity, consumer products, electronics, toys, musical instruments ...

Regarding the companies that intend to make 3D printing a new step, it should be noted that both Elix and Aimplas have been working together in different stages of this new projectFrom ABS product development and formulation modification, to manufacturing new 1,75mm and 2,85mm thick filaments and product printing and validation, sharing advice on application requirements and requirements final.
