FitStation, HP's new platform to design custom footwear

Fit Station

HP has just presented to the public a new product that has been baptized with the name of Fit Station. Going into a little more detail, it should be noted that the idea behind this project is to offer customers a complete platform with which to design and manufacture fully custom footwear thanks to the use of a complex 3D scanner.

But here is not all the work that FitStation is capable of doing, but thanks to the 3D scan that is carried out, this platform is capable of carrying out a completely autonomous dynamic stride analysis, something that will be a very important point when offering personalized footwear for all users who are interested in their use.

FitStation, a complete platform to create totally personalized footwear

As HP has officially commented, to create FitStation its engineers have had to design from scratch an entire hardware and software system capable of creating a digital profile of each foot while having the ability to perform an analysis of the tread of each user. We are, therefore, facing what may be the first comprehensive solution capable of providing custom footwear.

Based on the statements of Helena Herrero, President of HP for Spain and Portual:

FitStation is a good example of how innovation helps transform industries, improving people's lives and changing the way consumers purchase goods and services. We are reinventing the shopping experience in a sector as traditional as footwear, reaching a level of customization never seen before. This is a good example of the existing collaboration with major brands in the footwear industry and the opportunities that open up for other industries through the development of revolutionary platforms supported by HP 3D technology.
