Floppotron gets to perform the Pokémon song

These days the application of Pokémon Go has revolutionized not only the world of mobiles but also other worlds, other aspects of life, however the musical world seemed that it had not arrived ... until now. The curious project Floppotron has finally managed to perform the official song of Pokémon, a very original and very geeky piece of music that will be in the hall of fame along with the Star Wars soundtrack.

Floppotron is a project that uses old computer components to make sounds and by ordering those sounds, a piece of music is reproduced. The name of the project comes from its origin, where all the pieces were interpreted by the noise emitted by a floppy disk or floppy disk.

This time Floppotron has 64 floppy drives, 8 hard drives and two old scanners that next to the Arduino board they become a curious improvised orchestra.

Floppotron uses floppy drives to play the Pokémon song but not to capture them

El result it is still striking although a bit geek. But the code used as well as the reproduction of the piece is very curious and all controlled by an Arduino board, a totally free and inexpensive board, in case someone wants to reproduce the same experiment. On the other hand we must recognize the fact that old hardware can be recycled, hardware that many of us have at home occupying space or simply parts that are in the garbage containers.

Floppotron is not only capable of reproducing the Pokémon song but has previously performed other pieces such as Mission Impossible or the Imperial March Star Wars are some famous examples but there are more, although they can all be exclusively in Floppotron since the Arduino board does not have enough memory for all the songs.

The playback of the Pokémon song is incredible, as are the reproductions of other songs, but I still prefer to listen to the mp3 file and you?
