Flyt 16, a drone capable of carrying people

flyt 16

Practically every day we are surprised by how practically newly founded companies surprise us with the most striking ideas. This time I want to introduce you to Flyt Aerospatial, a company that, after months of investment in research and development, has managed to create the drone that you see on the screen, a model baptized as flyt 16, which stands out, among other things, for having been designed to carry people.

This model, as the company itself comments, is based on the idea that any drone does not have to be designed only to carry cameras or packages and deposit them in a completely autonomous way but, taking advantage of the legislation that is you are creating for these types of models, they will also be able to carry people as if it were an air taxi.

Flyt 16, a kind of drone taxi with 10 minutes of autonomy.

Without a doubt it seems that little by little this type of technology is designed to change the world as we know it. It is true that, at least for the moment, the idea of, instead of a taxi to take us to a certain point in the city, we call an autonomous drone to transport us through the air, seems a bit distant. Even so, it is not the first time that we have seen these types of solutions, which have gradually evolved to make them look as realistic as the one proposed to us with Flyt 16.

Unfortunately the truth is that, at least for now, Flyt 16 is just an idea that may not be able to be carried out. The main problem is found not in its 16-rotor architecture, but in the battery system necessary to make it work and that, at least for the moment, is only capable of offering you one flight autonomy of only 10 minutes.
