Google gets permission to start testing its drones in the United States

Google Drones

If just a few weeks ago we talked about how Amazon had managed to obtain a license to test its drones for the delivery of merchandise, now it is nothing less than Google the one that has managed to start testing its project in the United States.

Curiously, the statement where it is announced that Google can now begin to test its program for parcel delivery by drones comes from nothing less than White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, a government body that has not only shown interest in this type of services, but also today has invested nothing less than 35 million in their development.

Finally, Google obtains a license to test its drones in the North American sky.

At this point, comment that this kind of permissions, I mean for example those obtained by Amazon or Google, are very limited. This is so because the body that regulates them, the FAA, has not yet developed the necessary regulations for their use, although, according to those responsible, it is expected that for late 2016 drones can fly over people.

According to the data provided by the FAA itself, it is estimated that by the next decade the drone industry will be able to offer revenues worth more than 82.000 million for the US economy while, by the year 2025, more than 100.000 jobs, undoubtedly figures that can be a great incentive to promote the use of these devices.
