Sicnova Group and iGo3D join forces to create 3D printing factories

Sicnova Group

From Sicnova Group We receive a press release announcing that the Spanish company has just reached a collaboration agreement with the German company iGo3D to create AMS, a company whose main function will be to offer solutions based on 3D printing to all types of customers.

The main idea that Grupo Sicnova and iGo3D have is to commercially exploit the idea of '3D printing factories' an idea that can be ideal for all those clients whose business is based on the manufacture of short series of a certain product created to meet a specific demand.

Grupo Sicnova and iGo3D want to take 3D printing to a new commercial level.

To carry out this idea, 3D printing is shown as the ideal technology since it allows all types of manufacturers, both large and small, to create new product lines without having to make a considerable investment that is not known for sure if it will ultimately be interesting and profitable for the company.

As he commented Angel Keychain, CEO of Grupo Sicnova:

The great challenge of 3D printing is to move from rapid prototyping to rapid manufacturing. for that we need higher productivity, reliable delivery, print speed, amortizable costs and ease of use. Having the ability to manufacture thousands of different parts in the same day and that the cost is competitive, compared to traditional manufacturing systems, when we speak of hundreds or a few thousand units per model, is the great solution that AMS wants to offer to the market. European.

For its part, Diogo quental, CEO of iGo3D, commented:

We still don't know exactly how much of the traditional manufacturing can be replaced with 3D printing factories, but there are two things we do know, first of all, of course it has the potential to replace a very substantial part of the manufacturing process. Second, this replacement is extremely easy to implement and control. Large manufacturers should start to consider these solutions in their core businesses, and not just for prototyping, as has been the case until now.
