Iraq will rebuild its cities after the war using 3D printing

Iraq

After several years of war in Syria and Iraq to recover the territories that the Islamic State has conquered, it seems that the war is about to end and it is precisely at this point where concerns begin since the territories that have been devastated must be rebuilt. quickly and, for this, 3D printing seems to be the most interesting solution.

Recently representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Planning and Housing of Iraq had a meeting with spokespersons from winsun, one of the leading 3D printing companies. The main idea of this meeting is to raise the alternatives and choose the most suitable for develop a home rebuilding plan in Iraq.

printed house

Winsun has been the company chosen to proceed with the manufacture of 10.000 houses printed in 3D.

However… Why choose the Chinese company Winsun? As has been revealed, basically the choice has a lot to do with the development of technology that allows building houses using 3D printing and in this sense, Winsun became famous internationally just a few months ago when it managed to build 10 houses using this innovative technology in less than 24 hours. This has served them to be chosen, in turn, to build 1.5 million printed houses in Saudi Arabia.

At the moment in Iraq it does not have these pretensions since its idea is to be able to build 10.000 homes in the country. Another idea, as long as these houses can be built, is to purchase several concrete printers directly to proceed with the rehabilitation of the country. Neither of the two possible agreements has yet been closed, although, as you can see, the importance of 3D printing in the Middle East is clear.
