Jindong starts delivering packages using drones

jingdong

jingdong, a Chinese online sales company in the purest Amazon style, after a long time of development and testing has just received the green light for its parcel department to start delivering its goods in rural making use of drones. Thanks to this we could say that, at least in this sense, Jindong has anticipated multinationals such as Amazon itself, which, at least in the case of the United States, will not be able to start with this delivery method, at least, until 2017 or 2018 .

Based on the information that has emerged, it seems that this service is already active in the city of Suqian, located in the province of Jiangsu, in the eastern part of China. Apparently due to the novelty of the service, at the moment a small number of requests are being delivered since, until the technology is developed and consolidated, they still have to face very harsh regulations. Regarding the technical characteristics of the devices, we are talking about a system capable of charging up to 15 kilograms moving at a maximum speed of 54 kilometers per hour. Even so, apparently the engineers of the Asian company are already working to increase the load capacity in order to transport up to 30 kilograms. As a detail, tell you that for now the company has the green light to start the project, although this will only last a year and to renew they will have to present a report explaining all the evolutions, problems they have encountered ...
