At some point in your life, although it may not have reached you yet, surely you have had to face such a multipurpose issue as the decoration of a home, a bedroom, an office ... The truth is that this world can come to be so big and the solutions so different as well as attractive that on many occasions you can even get lost. If you are at this point, sure that the project carried out by Craig broady, an engineer from FromLabs, can help you a lot.

As Broady himself recounts on his blog, at one point he had to face the move from his old apartment to a new apartment. This gave him the possibility to change all the furniture, use new or directly reuse the one he already had. At this point it was where he began to get lost a bit since he did not know for sure what he would like to keep and especially where he was going to locate it. To solve this problem, he decided turn to 3D printing, which allowed him to plan the design of his future home and make it perfect.

Craig Broady shows us a unique way to face the decoration of our home.

The idea from which the project, baptized by the same as'Tiny town'consisted of something as simple as taking measurements of that new apartment, both of the rooms and the position of the different elements such as doors, windows, radiators ... for later, using OnShape, bring to your computer screen an almost identical 3D representation of that apartment.

Later this work was exported to DXF, the format it uses AutoCAD. Once this was achieved, with a cardboard sheet he managed to create what was a mold of all the walls of his apartment, including windows and doors. From this point on you had to furnish your structure And, as you can see in the image on the header, it was at this point that he decided to use 3D printing, thus achieving a model that, finally and for himself, was perfect, thus getting to know in advance where to place each piece of furniture in the move. .
