The Film Industry also uses 3D Printing to create films

Chase me

The uses for 3D printing are very varied and almost infinite, but currently not all of these sites use 3D printers, not even proprietary 3D printers. We have recently learned that the Film Industry is gradually embracing 3D Printing for creating animated films.

The last great result of this union it's called chase me, a film about a girl who travels playing her ukulele. A girl that has been printed using 3D printing as well as the rest of the components and members that make up the film.

Perse me is the first short film of the Film Industry created with 3D printed figures

The work of Perseme has been really very good but also very expensive despite the awards it is receiving. According to the figures that the production company has published, the project has not only needed a printer that uses SLA to create maximum character detail but it has cost more than 10 months of printing, 80 kilograms of resin, more than 2.500 impressions and two months of work on the computer for the models.

Ultimately, more than two years of work to create a short film. Even so, many directors of the film industry will prefer this method to having to put up with the whims of certain actors and even the costs that this entails. Costs that are lower than what the Hollywood Industry is currently having to create productions that ultimately do not raise the money they need.

Of course, all this does not mean that the Film Industry changes the characters of flesh and blood for figures printed on a 3D printer, but it is still just another tool that will allow this Industry to continue to dazzle us with the art of its films and created scenes.
