The next trade war will be fought in our skies

commercial war

Before we can imagine, at least that's what the experts say, entire fleets of Commercial drones will fly through our skies in search of information of all kindsFrom monitoring crops, inspecting infrastructures, calculating how much the installation of a solar roof can cost ... something very necessary for all kinds of companies that seek in this new market to stand out and gain a foothold in the sector.

One of the companies that is betting the most on the development of this new type of autonomous drones is Airbus, which not long ago created what they themselves called Airbus Airlines and that it is nothing more than a company dedicated exclusively to the collection and treatment of all kinds of data, a field that, according to experts, could exceed 120 billion dollars a year in the medium term.

Airbus is one of the first multinationals to seek to be a leader in what experts have dubbed the next great trade war.

For Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel:

Data is the new oil. The data rate that can be created may explode in the coming years.

To explain this, the Intel executive himself commented that although today an autonomous car can generate the same data per day as 3 people browsing the Internet, a small fleet of planes could create 150 terabytes of data per day.

For its part and from a rival company to Airbus such as Lockheed Martin:

The operation of an unmanned vehicle is no longer an independent activity. There is an assortment of maps, photos and video that are transmitted and need to be merged into a single operational image.
