NEC's new digital displays are fully compatible with your Raspberry Pi

NEC

Just a few days since NEC Display Solutions Europe the launch of a new range of displays was announced multi sync baptized with the name of Series P and V, large format models specially designed for presentations. We are talking about screens that have been designed from the platform Open Modular Intelligence developed by the company where a module can be integrated Raspberry Pi.

If you are interested in one of these screens, tell you that they will reach the market immediately in several different formats whose diagonal will go from 40 inches of the smallest model to 55 inches of the largest version. Within each family we find three different models, in this way the P Series range will finally be made up of the P404, P484 and P554 while the V Series will be made up of the V404, V484 and V554.

NEC is committed to providing its new products with compatibility with Raspberry Pi.

Regarding its own characteristics, it should be noted that the V series offers a brightness of 500 cd / m2 which allows greater ease of reading in low light environments while, this data in the P series grows up to 700 cd / m2 which allows, according to NEC, that messages can be read perfectly in bright environments. Whichever model is chosen, both ranges will have an anti-reflection screen that prevents interference.

Focusing on the P Series, note that these screens will have improved image performance thanks to the incorporation of technology SpectraView Engine, a solution that allows you to individually control different visual parameters such as color, brightness, gamut and uniformity. As you have commented Tobias Augustine, Senior Product Manager for Large Format Displays at NEC Display Solutions Europe:

The flexibility necessary to improve the operation of the screens at any time, integrating one of the options for OPS, the Raspberry Pi module or the signal interface.
