More than a year ago we saw a totally new and powerful SBC board that not only had an Intel processor but also allowed us to install a version of Windows 10 and be fully functional, something that we cannot do on other boards recognized by Microsoft itself. like Raspberry Pi.
This plate is called the LattePanda, a plate that has been updated or so has made us know the company behind it, DFRobot. LattePanda Delta is the name given to the second version of this plate, a more powerful model that will be able to run the latest versions of Windows 10 or so the guys at DFRobot say.
LattePanda Delta is an improved version that features an Intel N3350 processor and 2 GB of RAM, in the basic version, and a Core M3 7Y30 with 8 GB of DDR3 and 64 GB of eMMC in the most premium version that allow to run correctly any Gnu / Linux distribution as well as Windows 10.
In addition to this hardware, LattePanda Delta contains an ethernet port, an hdmi port, an 80-pin GPIO port, an Intel Wi-Fi Intel 802.11AC and Bluetooth module, 3 USB 3.0 and a USB Type-C port. As with the first version, LattePanda Delta contains an Atmega32u4 coprocessor that allows us to give the uses that we normally assign to Arduino boards.
DFRobot has wanted to follow the same routes as with its first plate and thus, LattePanda Delta will be first as a crowdfunding campaign and then it will be sold in stores. This new SBC board will cost approximately $ 200, a bit high but justified if we consider that the board will be able to run Windows 10 and any Linux distribution without the need for hacks or software modifications. At the moment we do not have any reference to the campaign, but in the DFRobot blog They will keep us up to date with the latest news in this regard.
