LION3D is a company based in León (Spain) specialized in engineering and manufacturing of 3D printing equipment that, over the last few months, has been working on the development of the new filament that they present to us today, a product created to be used in printers with FFF technology based on ABS but what lacks warping. Undoubtedly great news that is more than interesting since this material will allow the creation of pieces with better mechanical properties such as high resistance to impact, friction, dimensional precision, high resolution and low warping.
As a detail, remind you that the dreaded warping effect is basically the shrinkage that plastic undergoes as it cools and that can cause it to detach from its base on some occasions or directly deform the piece in different geometries, especially in the overhangs.
LEON3D presents a new ABS filament without warping effect.
In order to develop this new material and that its application in 3D printers does not involve any type of change or update at the machine level, the guys from LEON3D have had to modify the formulations to add and enhance the characteristics of the thermoplastic thus providing it with antiwarping properties. Undoubtedly a meticulous work that not only implies that you have to work at the most basic level in the creation of a filament, but many hours of testing to achieve the optimal result.
As a detail, just tell you that today, ABS is one of the plastics most used in industrial 3D printing projects. This filament is usually made up of three different types of monomers, butadiene, styrene, and acrylonitrile. By modifying the relationship between the different types of monomers, it has been possible to create materials with a wide range of properties to be used in a wide variety of applications.

Hello, I just read this news in a specialized publication and it has a comment that says that it is a hoax that even the company says that its warping is medium, and that they are deceiving. I attach the comment
«These LEON3D ones seem a bit expensive to me; They say that they take out an antiwarping plastic when they have been selling it for a long time and they are so cool that in the properties of the plastic on their website it says "WARPING: MEDIUM"

How curious ... I just saw this same comment literally copied and pasted on another blog by another person named Pascual Denero. A bit suspicious.
Well, aside from this, the new material has a good finish and significantly less wrapping than "standard" ABS. I recommend it!
I just received a coil of white, removing layer ventilation the finish is very good. Warping more or less like PLA. In our company we make molds for streetlights and we have been looking for something like this for a long time. It meets perfect.
27cm long piece in a single print with LEGIO, all ok
It works great for me, they have a lot of colors and the warping is low.
It works very well for us. All right.
After attending one of their workshops we loved the idea and bought it to give it a mainly educational use in our center, we have not had any problems and the doubts that have arisen have been resolved very quickly. I definitely recommend it.
Good finish and much lower warping, I'm liking it….
