Drones could greatly facilitate the work of 061

There are many benefits that a technology such as drones can offer to certain sectors of the market as long as it is used correctly. An example is how the use of drones could greatly facilitate your work to an emergency body such as the 061. As they say, 'to show a button'and in the operational practices held a few weeks ago in the city of Linares (Jaén) all this was demonstrated.

In the practices it was possible to see how different security and emergency bodies work in a coordinated way, such as 061 itself, Local Police, Fire Brigade and Civil Protection. As commented Susana de castro, director of the 061 service in Jaén:

This practical exercise is part of the training of 061 professionals in which we are going to test, together with other operatives, the performance of a collective emergency situation in a chemical risk incident. We have added as an innovation the use of drones to test the decision-making of the first operatives that arrive at the scene for an improvement in the care of the victims involved in this type of situation.

The 061 and other security forces are already testing the usefulness of drones when traveling.

Without a doubt this is the best way to test a new technology and deciding whether or not it can truly become an indispensable tool is such a revolution and as one might have thought at first. In these specific tests, a drone equipped with two cameras was used, one ideal to detect the type of substance responsible for the toxic cloud while the second camera was in charge of facilitating the exact location of all the people involved in the accident.

The exercise as such lasted about 40 minutes, enough time to evaluate and congratulate all the security forces before their extraordinary work and to be able to begin to draw the first conclusions about the use of this type of technology.
