Although there are many Spanish households that still enjoy 4G networks or fiber optics, the truth is that there are already companies such as Nokia that are beginning to give priority to projects such as the one that will lead it to deploy the new technology throughout its network 5G, a very special connection that will offer speeds of up to 10 gigabytes per second, a speed that, to put it a bit in perspective, is much higher than what fiber optics currently offers.
One of the main problems that Nokia must solve is in the infrastructure. As they have explained, today the entire network of the company operates at very high frequencies, which is why they have a considerable limitation of the signal range. Due to this and in order to offer optimal coverage, it is essential to install a greater number of antennas to make the distance between them much smaller.

It is at this point where the company has thought about the use of drones, specifically in the development of new antennas much smaller in size and weight, equipped in turn with solar panels and batteries for their energy supply. These new structures would be suitable to be transported by drones that could place them in strategic points.
