The American city of Louisville has just announced its commitment to equip its security forces with drones in order to increase their efficiency in response to certain dangerous situations, specifically and in the case of this city, what is intended is that, thanks to the use of drones, before the alert of a possible shooting, these can reach the area at a higher speed and record what is happening.

To carry out this task, the Louisville authorities are testing the use of drones equipped with cameras and microphones. Thanks to this the devices will be able to detect the precise location where the shots are being fired and proceed to record the scene, transmitting everything that is happening in real time to the controller that manages the drone and, therefore, to the security forces.

Using drones can help save many lives in the American city of Louisville

The idea as such has already been put to the test with very precarious means, hence and given the success it has had, that the authorities of the well-known American city have contacted the Federal Aviation Administration to get them to give them the permits necessary to start a larger project as well as so that they can be provide equipment necessary for its implementation.

As has been expressed by the different controllers that today put this project to the test, apparently they have achieved significantly decrease shootings in the city since the presence of this type of drones makes, firstly, that the police can go to a certain area much faster while, secondly, criminals feel much more watched, something that helps to dissuade them from shooting in public.
