MetalValue to Build New 3D Printing Steel Powder Factory

MetalValue

The multinational MetalValue Powder has just announced the decision that they have taken directly at their board by which the investment of just over 50 million euros in the construction of a new factory, located in Pastors (France), dedicated almost exclusively to the manufacture of gas-atomized steel powder intended for work on machines related to 3D printing.

As specified, once the new MetalValue factory is operating at 100% capacity, it will be able to produce up to 40.000 annual tons, the same capacity that is currently being generated throughout the planet. Thanks to this factory, the company will be able to directly employ 60 people who will be in charge of the manufacture of all this material destined mainly for the aeronautical, automation and even energy industries.

MetalValue Powder claims to be the world's largest steel metal powder manufacturer.

This is not the only millionaire investment that they will have to make in MetalValue Powder since, as they themselves have indicated, for the production of this factory to come to fruition and especially at the volumes that they themselves consider, they will need to invest some 25 millones de euros in the factory belonging to Mounoir Industries, which will be in charge of supplying the first steel in liquid form.

As you can see, little by little metal 3D printing is gaining popularity by leaps and bounds, so much so that companies like MetalValue have decided to be the first to make large capital investments to meet demand. Among the most interesting characteristics of steel powder, it should be noted that, among other things, it is capable of highly resistant to corrosion and even high temperatures.
