Mixing art and technology thanks to Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi

There are many minds that today try to get the most out of a Raspberry Pi, a controller that can be very useful and not only as a cheap multimedia player for your living room. You have proof of what I say in the enormous number of projects that day after day you can see on the cover of Hardware Libre or directly in this same entry where you can see how a piano concert can turn into a real street fighter duel thanks to a Raspberry Pi.

As you surely know, it is not the first time that we talked about how to turn a next-generation Raspberry Pi into a whole retro console, something that would allow us to play games like the mythical Street Fighter with which many of us have grown up and spent hours together with friends when FIFA or PES were still not a project in the minds of their creators. Now imagine that, instead of knobs, there are two pianos and everyone who is interested in playing must demonstrate your musical abilities.

Going into a little more detail, basically the creators of the system, baptized as Planette, have installed a series of piezoelectric pressure sensors y analog / digital signal converters with which to supply information to the Raspberry Pi. Once all the information reaches the plate, a specific program is in charge of interpreting this data and converting it into the movement of the chosen characters.
