Many are the projects that over the months we have been able to discover in HWFree where the basis for its development has been taken Raspberry Pi, without a doubt, one of the favorites by all makers mainly due to all the possibilities it is capable of offering.
On this occasion, as the title of this post says, I want to show the idea of a Hacker House user when creating their own portable arcade. As you can see in the image located at the top of this same post, a high quality casing has been developed where the typical buttons of an arcade of yesteryear have been installed as well as a Raspberry Pi board that leaves its connectors free to install the cables needed for a display.
Hacker House are the creators of this unique portable arcade.
Just on these lines I leave you a video that can serve you as a tutorial Since, in it, its authors show us all the necessary steps that you must follow to be able to replicate the project, from the necessary pieces and the way to get them, to the way to link them with each other, the emulation software and even the way of 'mapping' ports and connections.
As a detail, tell you that in order to emulate the arcade in question and load all its games, as usual on the other hand, the system is used RetroPie in its version 3.0, a more than proven solution for Raspberry Pi. Personally tell you that, if you use the latest version of the Raspberry Pi, it has a built-in bluetooth, USB and WiFi system so that the control options or adding new controls for multiplayer games can be a fairly simple task.
