MyMat Solutions is a Spanish company, based in the Basque Country, which has just announced that, after much effort and dedication, they are finally ready to launch no less than four new filaments on the market. This announcement took place during the presentation that took place on the occasion of the celebration of the TCT in Birmingham, UK, just a few days ago.
Regarding the materials presented, highlight the arrival of MyMat Foodie, a flexible filament specially oriented towards the food industry, hospitality and 'foodies', given its characteristics that allow it to be compatible with contact with food. For its part, MyMat Kimi, also flexible, has a much more industrial orientation as it is resistant against chemical attacks from alkaline solutions, coolants and alcohols.
Taking advantage of the TCT, MyMat Solutions introduces four new filaments.
Also in terms of flexible filaments we find the new MyMat C4U, a type of material that the Spanish company focuses on the wellness sector because, at least in terms of characteristics, it is compatible with contact with human skin and is You can sterilize with boiling water or autoclave. With this material you can make soft and flexible prostheses, insoles or shoe soles, to give a couple of examples.
I finally want to talk to you about MyMatHiPro, a PLA modified to offer better mechanical properties thanks to a crystallization process that is carried out directly in the 3D printer. As the company itself announces, these four varieties of filament have been developed to be used in most of the FFF type 3D printers on the market since its printing temperature does not exceed 240ºC.
According to the statement released by the MyMat Solutions:
Foodie, Kimi and C4U are flexible filaments linked to specific industries or sectors, while HiPro is a revolutionary PLA that improves the thermo-mechanical properties of PLA-s and comes to compete with properties of ABS.
