NanoPi2, a slight competitor to Raspberry Pi 2

Although many of you will tell me that you already know all the Raspberry Pi forks and that they do not usually contribute anything to the environment, the truth is that there are still surprises. One of these surprises it's called NanoPi2. NanoPi2 is a board Hardware Libre having the essentials of Raspberry Pi 2 but in a small size.

NanoPi2 has a Samsung Quadcore processor at 1,4 Ghz, accompanied by 1 Gb of ram memory. Regarding storage, the board has two slots for microsd cards. In this case we will only have an HDMI output, so we will not be able to use an old television to make it work. We have two USB ports, Wifi, Bluetooth and a 40-pin GPIO, for our Raspberry Pi projects. Along with the second microsd card, as a novelty we have the camera port, a port with a 24-pin DVP interface.

The price of this plate is 32 dollars, a little less than 30 euros to change, a high price if we take into account the price of the Raspberry Pi 2, but that is really based on the small dimensions of Nanopi2 and on your wireless connections. What has caught my attention is that both this board and its predecessors have a long Community that support In the face of the problems that exist of transferring projects from one platform to another, as well as in the face of future projects for which Nanopi2 can be used, not only those of Raspberry Pi but also their own since the size is smaller on this board than on the computer raspberry.

If they really want to give a twist on your personal projects, Nanopi2 is a great solution, if you really want a board to create projects or reproduce them, I think Raspberry Pi 2 is still the best option What do you think? What do you think of Nanopi2? Would you use it for your projects?
