Smartphones and tablets have meant that we always have a computer as powerful as a desktop or laptop on hand. These computers have a limitation: they only run their own apps and cannot run any desktop applications. This can be a problem for many, but thanks to the Raspberry Pi, this can be fixed.
Ashish Gulhati has created a kit called Noodle Pi that is responsible for transforming a Raspberry Pi board into a handheld computer, as light as a tablet but that can run any application that we want.
This kit consists of a plate Raspberry Pi Zero W, a battery, an LCD screen, a PiCam and a case to save everything, all the components already available to everyone. The result is Noodle Pi. This equipment allows you to install any software, since Pi Zero W is compatible with Gnu / Linux operating systems and we can also use Android, which gives the user freedom that mobile phones or tablets do not.
The price of this Noodle Pi amounts to $ 44, a very interesting price if we take into account the resulting minicomputer and the possibilities that it offers. Unfortunately we still cannot go to the stores to buy this kit because you are looking for crowdfunding financing to be able to sell this kit.
The other option that exists is build ourselves a Noodle Pi. In this case we just have to buy the components individually and create the case ourselves. The result will be the same but more personalized and possibly for a more expensive price, depending on whether or not we have a 3D printer. Raspberry Pi has always been related to a minipc rather than a Free Hardware electronic board, that is a handicap for the project, but I have to say that as a minipc it does not do well at all Do not you think?
